Getting around

Anchor at Fécamp

It's so easy!

By bike, by train, by car, even by boat… And why not on foot?
Almost every road and path leads to Fécamp!

There are a variety of ways to get around Fécamp, so you can explore at your own pace: coach services, bike hire, hiking along the GR®21…

There’s plenty to do to make the most of our bucolic landscapes!

Go slow...

Holidays or weekends help to slow down the pace.
Take advantage of bucolic landscapes and seascapes just a leg away!

In Fécamp, our must-sees are accessible by soft mobility: forget your car and get around on foot or by bike. It’s the best way to discover our destination.

If you follow the coastline and take the GR®21, you’ll discover Fécamp and the surrounding villages from the cliffs: a picture postcard first impression!

Preparing my journey along the GR®21 :

Lovers of walking and Sunday hikers can also take advantage of the GR®21 to visit the nearby valleys: Grainval and Vaucottes are just waiting to be discovered!

Be careful to observe the safety rules:

  • Never approach the cliff edge
  • Never walk along the foot of the cliff
  • Stay on the footpaths

What's a valley?

In the Pays de Caux, a valley is a depression in the land that provides access to the sea. On the rest of the coast, this access is prevented by the height of the chalk cliffs.

A distinction is made between :

  • sharp valleys: natural depressions (Fécamp, Yport, Étretat, etc.);
  • Dead valleys: access to the shore requires human development (stairs, etc.);
  • perched valleys : simple depressions in the land that do not allow access to the shoreline.
