The Véloroute du Lin route immerses you in the heart of Normandy’s Cauchoise region, dotted with flax fields, ponds and fish farms. From Fécamp, cycle to the charming village of Valmont along the river of the same name.

In fine weather, the flax fields are covered in a beautiful carpet of soft green. Nature puts on a magnificent and ephemeral show during the flowering period in June, when an ocean of blue flowers unfurls for one or two weeks.

The ideal cycling route for cyclists looking for an escape, a challenge, and cultural and gastronomic discoveries: the Vélomaritime!
Cycle along the Côte d’Albâtre to Fécamp. Fancy seeing the legendary cliffs of Etretat from Fécamp?
The route takes you along small, undulating roads, between cliffs and countryside.
Get your calves ready or opt for an electric bike!

Good to know:

The “Itinérance 76” bicycle point, located in the heart of the village of Sassetot-le-Mauconduit, welcomes cycling tourists: halfway between Dieppe and Le Havre, this maintenance workshop is equipped with:

  • Specific VAR professional tools for express repairs;
  • A room for six cyclists, for a well-deserved break;
  • A wash and inflation station to pamper your bike!

The little cyclist

  • Who should I contact to report the deterioration of a path?

    Use the Suricate website or app to report any problems you encounter when out hiking.

    A signposting error, a defective sign, a pollution problem, a need for safety measures, a conflict with a landowner or other hikers… Fill in the form, locate the problem, take a photo and send it.

    Your report will be transmitted via the Suricate network and processed by the local correspondent.

  • Where to picnic?
    • On the beaches ofPetites and Grandes Dalles, Saint-Pierre-en-Port, Fécamp and Yport: find yourself a flat pebble and enjoy the view!
      But watch out for seagulls on the prowl!
      (Remember that our food is indigestible to these birds).
    • On the picnic tables provided:
      • In the valleys of Senneville-sur-Fécamp and Vaucottes ;
      • At Cap Fagnet, Fécamp ;
      • In Yport, above the Casino,
      • Along the Véloroute du Lin, as far as Valmont and beyond;
      • In Valmont, near the fishpond.

    We thank you for keeping our beaches and picnic areas clean by taking away your rubbish, and we are grateful to you for trying to reduce it.

  • What to do with your waste

    The best waste is the waste we don’t produce.
    We invite you to choose the products you use with care.

    Pick up your rubbish and take it home with you. You will find public rubbish bins as you pass through our villages. If these are already full, we invite you to save your rubbish until the next one!

    A few guidelines :

    • A handkerchief: pollution > 3 months.
    • A cigarette butt: pollution > 1 to 5 years.
    • A fruit peel: pollution > 3 months to 2 years.
    • A plastic can or bottle: pollution > 100 to 500 years.
