(Valleuse = a local term for a narrow opening in the cliffs forming a small dry valley, leading to the sea).
South of Fécamp, at the end of the Valleuse de Grainval, is a small pebble beach. Visitors are equally as charmed by its peacefulness as by the view it offers of the town. Claude Monet was sufficiently charmed by it to paint a picture there in 1881.
